Image from tracing the new Sparse Voxel Octree with anisotropic voxel data. Although the data doesn't look too different for most of the voxels, the color difference is a lot more noticeable on the RGB test cube. The anistropic data really shines with emissive surfaces and for the lighting data that will be stored in each voxel. In my old system, this cubes emission color would have been averaged together creating a white/gray emissive cube. With anisotropic data ill be better able to calculate the lighting from emissive surfaces a lot more accurately.
