Human & character creation programs. Which one to choose?

I'm searching for the external program that would help me to make humanoid characters for Unity.
I've found out that there are plenty of them. So which one should i choose?

The goal is to find convenient tool, no need AAA+++++ quality, just models for indie games.

What i've found by now:
- Daz3d looks promising, but people say it has license cons, you have to pay for a lot of stuff.
- Fuse looks nice because it also applies clothes to the characters.
- Substance Painter for character's texture?

Your advices are welcome.

Yeah, Daz 3d has its cons. But the truth is, all of those character creation software, have their pros and cons. So choosing one will be tough.
