huge apk size, and build log doesn`t make sense

    This is what my build log shows, my apk size is 130mb and it should be 60 or something, does anybody know where this issue comes from (i have enabled only ARMv7, with both it has like 6-7 more mb).


    Textures 57.4 mb 19.6%
    Meshes 2.1 mb 0.7%
    Animations 504.4 kb 0.2%
    Sounds 1.7 mb 0.6%
    Shaders 6.2 mb 2.1%
    Other Assets 1.2 mb 0.4%
    Levels 17.2 mb 5.9%
    Scripts 1.9 mb 0.7%
    Included DLLs 5.2 mb 1.8%
    File headers 283.1 kb 0.1%
    Complete size 292.2 mb 100.0%


    everything ads up to 94 Mb (aprox) where are the extra 200Mb from the complete size coming from?

    According to the build report (that you posted), the size of all assets included in the APK is 292.2 mb (uncompressed).
    You should add Unity's libraries on top of that (libunity and libmono).

    The best thing you can do is look at the assets that are listed after the summary you posted (sorted by size, largest first).
    This should give you an idea of why your build is so large.

    yes but please look carefully, and add the numbers, i have 54 mb of textures 2mb of meshes and the others are like 30 more megs, it all ads up to 93.9 wich is the build size i know, and have, where do the extra 200 Mb come from, the app is already published (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ro.BadWolf.avengerWarfare), as you can see 93 mb, i just want to make a small update and this s*** happens.

    What Unity version are you on ? some versions did not include some files (like the Resources folder).
    Are you using anything under Resources ?

    @adrenal36 Sir i have checked your game and its amazing. But i have few questions , How did you get so many downloads ? I mean how did you do marketing of your game ? I am new in this field and i am not able to get much download.Thank you :) adrenal36

    Hi,

    I'm encountering the same weird issue, where the build report is missing information - on my build report it seems that around 70% is missing :(
    What can cause it?
    Did you ever succeed to see the missing size info?

    In the last days we did the following:
    - Update Unity to 2017.4.1 (This reduced our apk size in around 20 MB)
    - We're now using Arm7 build instead of both Arm7 + x86

    The above two steps together reduced our apk size from 87 MB to around 40 MB.

    There is still missing info from the build report though...

    I am also having the same issue. My listed assets add up to about 37%.
