I find it more suspect when I see the 1st app listed with a keyword search that has 1 million downloads and uh, 1 thousand reviews, mostly 5 stars with no comment. No legitimate app has such ratios.

Hello, Google, who is minding the store?

As much as I hate to say this...

UNITY HAS DESTROYED THE MOBILE MARKET!!!

If Unity didn't make making games so damn easy, we wouldn't have this problem today lol

    This many times over.

When a skill is possessed by the entire population, then that skill is no longer valuable.

Well who needs skills when Google's search is a demonstration in how not to do search. Where is the skill in that? They've a lot more money and intelligence that's supposed to do a proper job and fail at it. It's just an expensive exercise of faked results.

Remember it's not about what has been purchased/downloaded a lot, it's about the potential new purchases/downloads from being featured. If everyone already has a thing there's not much to gain from featuring it. If it's new and has genuine potential then just because it hasn't got the hits yet doesn't mean it won't get them, and being featured might fast-track that or gain it enough attention to push it over the line (for everyone's benefit).

Nobody understands. Everything is a conspiracy theory unless it comes from a major media outlet. Duh.

And that's why Venezuela is actually a fair and balanced democratic society.

Since when is anyone involved in an online marketplace looking for either balance or democracy?

Being able to download Unity is not a skill.

My point exactly. Being able to download Unity, whip up a quick game, and upload it onto the mobile market is something pretty much anyone can do. As anyone can do it, its not considered valuable by society in general.
