how would you make lightning less intensive when you get closer to the wall like this?

    Currently my light is like this when i walk near a walll:


    And I want it to be like the Ultimate flashlight asset:

    It looks like this in there:


    How would you go and achieve this?

    Decrease its intensity when you get closer or what?

    You could buy the asset...

    In addition to using a cookie on the light to get that ringed shape, you could handle the lighting blowout a number of different ways.

    1. Try using linear lighting instead of gamma mode.
    2. Write a script that raycasts from the flashlight forwards and adjust the light's intensity based the raycast's hit distance.
    3. Just use a darker light.
    4. Just decrease the range on your light.
    5. Do 3 & 4 together.
