How Unity will compete with SpatialOS now?

    So, with SpatialOS out...whether we like it or not.

    What is Unity's plan to compete with it? In terms if offering us a solution with the same functionality in persistent and scalable online worlds?

    Unity Technologies plans to offer services in partnership with Google's Google Compute Cloud for a specialized Unity3D cloud service and related multiplayer and social services specifically for what they call "Connected" games.

    This is going to be critical for Unity Technologies as a developer services company. Since the revenue from engine licenses is probably insignificant compared to 4.x and before. Of course, that part is my personal amateur financial opinion.
