Question How to update editor version

I opened up my project it up and it brought up something that said I could download a new editor version it brought me to my browser and I downloaded the latest version that it showed but after I finished downloading nothing changed my projects use the same editor version as before and when I make a new project it still uses the same editor version how to I make unity use the new editor I just installed?

 

You change the project's version in the Unity hub.
