i'd like to do a game similar to osu, and i will need to place the beats at specific timing of the music.
For those not familiar with osu can see this video

I have never used timeline before, but i suppose it is the closest feature that deals with syncing events with audio.

I have looked up a few tutorials on timeline, but i'm unable to find any that teach about what i'd like to achieve. I thought i could use signals to spawn objects, but apparently the use cases i've seen are only for calling functions from scripts.

I've used Adobe Flash before, and i imagine this can be done with Flash, to visually position a symbol in a new keyframe that i want it to spawn. Am i able to do something similar in timeline?

Appreciate any advise on this and what is the best approach. Thank you!
