How to Revert to 5.3

    How to safely revert my project to Unity 5.3?

    I expected to see fixes for the most serious bugs, but every week it seems that the list of bugs only increases and no corrections come to the most serious. It is impossible to continue testing. =(

    - DirectX 9 and 11 builds are ununsable. Several random crashs. Reported several bugs with Crash Log.

    - Android builds does't not works at wall on a ton of devices.

    Is there a way to revert my project to 5.3? I have a backup of it, but I implemented a lot of new things when testing 5.4.

    I am also considering this mainly with regard to the Android issues. I assume that you can simply reopen the project in 5.3 Editor, however, on our project we tried this on Mac and had some crashes because of prefabs (To do with PPtr's not being legitimate, or something something.. etc.). So, unless thats a problem for 5.3 on all OS's I can't see why it wont work. I anticipate if we do revert there will be some hiccup with the prefabs however.

    I tried some time ago and it seems a lot of prefabs corrupted. Is there some way to avoid this?

    I assume the only workaround is to recreate the prefabs in the 5.3 editor. Hopefully you don't have huge prefabs!

    It may also be worth trying exporting them.

    Open the project from backup from before opening it with 5.4.

    Which also are something that you (of course) took into consideration when you choose to try the new beta firmware. Just have to copy the new code to the old repo, i dont think you can backport the project, sorry.

    Well, I find that if you remove the prefabs that aren't compatible, it opens and works.
