Hi @sandbaydev, Thank you for your question. You should be able to delete your repository from Plastic GUI. To delete a repository in the Plastic GUI, Navigate to the Repositories, Cloud > Right-click on a Repository > Select Delete.

    Thank you

Thanks for the help, but still having trouble. Maybe I'm in a wrong place.

Is there a visual guide / instructions?

I'm using https://www.plasticscm.com/orgs/here_be_my_organization/repos view to list repos but cannot right click. If I click some repo name, it shows "main" branch. But no cloud button or delete button.

    Hi,

You need to use the Plastic GUI (not webUI). You can download the Plastic SCM Cloud edition standalone client at www.plasticscm.com --> Downloads.

Please let us know if it helps.

    Regards,
    Carlos.

    Hi Carlos,

    unfortunately it does not help.
    Please see the screenshot below.
The repos in the cloud are marked as deleted. But are still there and eating up the storage.

A deleted cloud repo database is kept for a few days so it can be recovered. A few days later is automatically removed and the storage value will be updated.

Hello, im been working on huge scene, and i do always bake a light that use a lot of cloud storage per changeset.
Can im somehow remove lightbakes from old versions of scene to save some cloud storage memory?

For example i had scene with Lighting A that use 400 MB of cloud storage date, i did bake a new lighting B that is completly difference and use 500 MB of cloud storage. So now i do have cloud storage usage of 900 MB but i do not want to store previous one lighting, for me bake lighting from scratch is not hard and took about a two minutes.
Im scarred that i will end up with cloud project that will do use 500 GB of cloud storage because of storing baked lighting of 999 versions of scene and i will have to remove project and then make fresh one withotu history of old lightbakes.
    thanks!

    Hi,

We are working on new and more user-friendly way to trim repositories in Plastic SCM. For now, I'm afraid the only solution to reduce the size of the database is:

Please check the release notes with some examples: https://www.plasticscm.com/download/releasenotes/10.0.16.6241

All platforms - Cloud: Archiving revisions is now available in Cloud!

You can reduce the size (and the costs :)) of your cloud repositories by archiving revisions to an external storage.

I deleted a repo a few months ago and it still takes up space on the Cloud. Is there a way to fully remove it, @carlosalba1985?

I can´t delete a repo either that is costing me money, I tried deleting it a while back. I am very angry at this service, it seems deliberate that it has been made so you cant delete repos. I was just performing a test and now it will ocst me money. What a disgusting way to operate, force the use of a credit card and then make it hard to delete repos.

This is what ´right-clicking´the repo looks like: I don~t want to download some application just to be able to delete a repository, that can´t be how it works, that is not a ´functioning product´.

    Hi @SteenPetersen

Most of the Plastic SCM operations (including deleting or creating new repos) are handled in the Plastic GUI (or Unity plugin) but not in the web interface.

Do you have the Plastic SCM standalone client installed on your machine?

Did anyone manage to delete any projects? I mean if i want to share my project with someone they see al those projects. Do studios just make infinite amount of emails to share projects? Give us a clear guide on how to delete those projects :(

You can delete repos from the desktop application. If they aren't cleaned after 2 weeks I suggest you contact the support at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com. They helped with my issue and I now have only 1 repo.

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot do it via the Version Control package. You can install the Plastic SCM Cloud edition standalone client or also remove it via CLI (cm repository remove --help):

It's July 2023, I would like to delete projects too, and this is still not doable through the web? Jesus, how hard can it be to add a delete button??
I don't want to install a whole software to simply delete a project!

Can you please just add a delete button in the dashboard...

I'm afraid most of the SCM operations need to be done via the client (standalone client or Unity plugin).
It involves creating or deleting repos.

You can diff or create code reviews via the web dashboard but not any operation that involves changes in the repos (including deleting them).

Sorry for the inconvenience. Your feedback is welcome.

Is deleting projects from Plastic SCM (Windows client) still an issue? I have a project that I have deleted and updated from the Workspace, but when I try and delete the repository, it tells me "The workspace [NAME] is currently open and will not be deleted."

Does it take some time to sync to the cloud? I'd like to upload another project but don't really want the additional costs for something that I am no longer actively working on.

I can tell you from experience, this is not a helpful way to do what you need. That is, getting the job done. Using the client is by far a better (more reliable) option and it is not really that much to install. It's not "a whole software", but just a basic, not perfect, but nicely done little tool that does a lot more than the Web GUI in a better way.

Considering how the interface in Unity often hangs when uploading a new changeset and the standalone desktop client doesn't, it could (should?) have been the only way to interface with projects in UVC/PlasticSCM imo. Leave the web version only for account and billing management and basic information like storage space.
