Hello, my name is BLQQD and I am a newb.

Downloaded an asset that gave no warnings about over riding settings or anything like that. Loaded the asset's demo scene and got an error about needing to "rebuild lighting". All google searches on the subject seem to produce results that no longer apply to current versions of unity.

Also, when I loaded my other scenes in the project, I could no longer play them due to "compiler errors". I had to delete the offending assets from my library even though they were not present in the scene.

So how do you rebuild lighting to fix these types of things?

"rebuild lighting" seems like a vague thing. Do you have more details about where this message is showing up? Any screenshots?

Go in to the lighting tab.... Go to bottom of page and click "Generate Lighting". THats about all that I can think of. The scene (depending on the complexity will bake out the lights in the scene and update them?

Not knowing what you are doing is kind of hard to help. More info maybe?

To be honest I gave up on that asset a while ago... Thanks for following up though.
