    Hey there,

me and two friends are currently working on an indie game. We bought 2 icon packs. The icons are great. But they get really messy and loose quality when scaled down. Is there any way to keep smoothness.

    Here are example shots:

    Not smooth as well:

this is how it should look like:

I tried out some of the features here:

But seems like i can not find a good solution.

Also, i have some very high resolution char images which also look bad when scaled down. I guess in those cases it is what it is - or anyway to improve those scaled down versions via unity?

Would be very glad about help!

Scale them down in Photoshop to the exact size you need them for your game. They will look much better.

ok, removing compression did not really help (i guess its that option)

    Or is it another option?

I guess the photoshop option will work 100%, but its a lot of work i guess :). Thanks for the idea though.

Try with generated mip maps. It's their intention, but final quality is arguable

It is more work but if you want the quality you are looking for, a little extra work is necessary.

Ok thank you for your answer. I am just worried about all the different resolutions and screen siizes. So wouldn't that mean that i need multiple ones?
