How to place a series of objects with the same distance and in a curve shape?

    It's pretty self explanatory. I have a series of objects to place in my world, but I need to keep them as equidistant as possible, and at the same time will need to put them in curve shapes often. Doing it "by hand" just gives awful results. (top down view) Thanks for your time guys!

    Using Blender I created a simple spine-shaped mesh using an Array and Curve Modifier and imported that into my scene, then used vertext snapping to snap my objects to each vertex of the "spine". No bucks spent. But thanks for your suggestion though, those two assets look very interesting and useful.
