How to organize character animation files

    A 2D game character will have at least 60 different movements (for example, take an object, put an object, walk, run, jump, etc.). What is the best way to organize his animation files?
    1. create a separate animation file for each movement
    or
    2. create one long animation file for all movements
    And please tell why.
