You added features that were supposed to be there in the first place. Were you releasing Early Access or the final game? It might go over in early access but the final game needs to just work. A flight sim must has joystick support, that works.

What did you expect? What games do you play?

I don't know what you spent 8 months on, I can't test the game, since no Mac version. The gameplay is what matters in the long run and if it's bad all the polish will accomplish is sell a few more copies. If the gameplay is good and you polish, you could make $3K. Enough to buy Unity dark theme for years to come! The choice is yours, girlfriend or Unity Dark theme.

 

In the long run a girlfriend is likely to cost more then 3K...

 

I'm still working on marketing but have not gotten any decent attention. I'm going to send another round of emails to youtubers.

There are some channels that just post game trailers on their channel. I am going to try extra hard to get their attention, because all they have to do is post a trailer and it gets a lot of views. There is no commentary so it eliminates the scrutiny of being reviewed.

I managed to get in some bundle sales, which brought in several hundred dollars. I am working on finding more bundle sales to participate in.

I am going to try putting an ad in a magazine about flight simulators.

I would like some more suggestions on how to market without relying on youtubers or the press. I read competing in game competitions can help with marketing. Does anyone know of any popular ones that get alot of attention?
