Question How to make Mecanim character crouch? (hips based rig)

    I am trying to use Mecanim for a VR IK solution for players crouching. Currently if the rig is Hips-base (ie. Legs and Spine are children of the Hips like Mecanim characters), if I make the hips move down with the headset, the legs end up moving down with it and go beneath the floor.

    This is despite me setting the avatar IK goals for the feet and knees respectively.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for making a character crouch in VR using Mecanim? I'm trying to use just Mecanim for this as I can't always use FinalIK Asset for this purpose...

    I figured this out, in ikpdate make sure to move the character root up or down there, it allows IK to update after and will make the character crouch if the feet ik targets are set also!
