I'm usually better at just diving in and making things, but I like having a clean environment to test things in- so imagine my dismay when I learn the new URP pipeline... seems to have mandatory assets? like, lots, of them, or more accurately, a lot of assets and no way to know what matters and what doesn't.

as well, there are dozens of tutorials on how to do things in the 2019 version, but they all only go over how to convert an existing game from a previous version, and not how to start a new project in the 2020 version.

can anyone help me make a URP project as cleanly as possible? Or, do I just install the package into a 3D game and it works? for something with an example, it sure doesn't explain a whole lot except "go to the documentation", which if you search how to make a new URP project, just says, "make the URP example project", which, as you can tell, has a lot of extraneous things sprinkled all around inside it that almost no one will use.
