    What exactly do you mean? We need more specific details in your post to really help out. Do you mean how to make the art and animations? Or do you mean how to make a character move with controls?

    Cool. First, you will need some sort of software/program to create sprites. Sprites are what the gaming word call 2D images. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator are some good ones but if you are just looking for the basics, try using Gimp. Then, to do animations, give it a quick google for some videos:
