I'm trying to learn uGUI and I need to make an inventory system, I looked through all the examples in the examples project but there really wasn't an example for this. My inventory is pretty basic and just needs to display the icons for objects in my inventory in item slots in my inventory window.

I've never implemented an inventory system before, so how is this typically done for a fairly basic inventory?

I could probably figure out how to make uGUI work with a system, but I don't know how inventory systems generally work.

Any help here would be much appreciated!

Yes, as I said in the op most of that is very basic UI functionality and not how to do anything like an inventory. The closest to an inventory system in the examples project is the drag and drop but that is really ONLY drag and drop and nothing to do with an inventory system.

In this case, this could help you to understand how start:

It is for the old gui, but show you how it is typically done.
