How to implement Mod support in my game?

Currently i had a small engine/game that i'm currently making on top of unity, it got lua scripting it works well but other thing i want to add is mod support but i couldn't find a good guide or some tips of how to achieve it, i would appreciate if someone helps me towards a good direction of how to do that

This seems to be the most straightforward solution I've come across, haven't tested it yet myself but plan to.
