I would enormously help the readability for me, if I could give markers different colors, depending on the signal asset for example. Using a color schema allows me to understand what events are fired without having to select each marker.

How would I do that? Is there an API that allows me to customize the rendering of those markers in Timeline?

So instead of having 4 gray markers, I would like to give them different colors depending on what each marker is doing.

I do not think it is possible, but hoping to be proven wrong, since it would be super useful.

In our in-house tool, for the equivalent feature we had numbers on it, which wasn't super great, but it was enough to be able to know what's going on.

(don't judge the off center-ness of the numbers and the general UI badness, we tried to make it nice many years ago, then we abandoned the tool in favour of Timeline (which was a mistake), then some Unity version broke the layout a lot and we did just enough to have it remain functional)
