How to get unity android output to work with android on Virtual Box

    I've followed these instructions: http://androidspin.com/2011/01/24/howto-install-android-x86-2-2-in-virtualbox/

    and am using the android-x86-2-2 iso image

    I've managed to get the android machine working with a pseudo SD card but I've got a couple of problems:
    1) How do I actually install an .apk output by Unity?
    I've tried using the android web browser toi access it from WAMP localhost running on my PC but it won't allow access to localhost for some reason. I've resorted to uploading the file to my website and downloading from there - obviously not ideal!

    2) When I do download an .apk I've created ( using the min requirement Android 2.2 setting on unity) it installs but then comes up with an unspecified error when it tries to run.
    The same .apk file will work on the PC android emulator (at a dead snail's pace) and also on an HTC running android 2.2

    If anyone has had any success with the above please let me know how as it's driving me crazy!

    The Virutal Box android is so much faster than the emulator and so it would be really great for me and others I guess to get it working

    Unity generates ARM native code, not java code, as such it will work on ARM devices and on the Android Emulator which emulates ARM, but it will not run on any x86 based android version like those used on some ASUS devices for example.

    Ok thanks that explains that - back to the drawing board then :(
