How to get this Clipping Mask effect in Unity?

I usually animated in flash, but I'm having trouble getting an effect in Unity, I would use clipping mask to achieve this effect, but already informed me that it is a beta feature in Unity.
Someone could suggest me an alternative to achieve this effect?

Check the store, I found some rather complex and expensive solutions.
There is not a simple way to do this?
