Hello. Completely new Unity user. I have a number of assets, bought and paid, that are music packs. I like to listen to music packs when I'm out and about to find the right music for my projects. I downloaded unity, and some asset packages, but to my surprise when downloaded they're not just a folder full of audio files, rather the Unity proprietary package file type. How can I get tracks extracted in an audio format I can transfer to my phone for casual perusal? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

import .unitypackage into empty unity project, then you can copy files from there. (open Explorer to Assets/..)

A lot of garbage META files with that method, wish they had something a little more user friendly, or insisted that anyone uploading music to the store uploaded a userfriendly download file to preview outside the Unity software...

They are user friendly... the intended "user" is a unity developer. As stated, just don't copy the .meta files, or sort by type, or do a simple finder/explorer search, or whatever. It should literally take no time to get the files.
