How to get keyboard shortcuts and duplication to work again?

So, I've noticed for the past year or so that Ctrl-D doesn't work at all, either on scene objects or project assets. I can't duplicate. For the most part, I'd have to select the object, then click the Edit menu, then Duplicate.

Now, even trying to duplicate from the edit menu does nothing. And Ctrl-C/X/V don't work either. So now I have to go to the edit menu to copy/paste, which is ridiculously slow.

To be clear, when I say "doesn't work", I mean that it doesn't respond at all. It's like I just pushed useless buttons. And the edit menu still shows the correct keyboard shortcuts, so they haven't been unassigned or anything.

I do have an alternate keyboard layout installed (Dvorak) but the problem persists even when I switch back to QWERTY, so I don't think that's the source.

This is killing my productivity in the editor. Is anyone else having the same problem? Any suggested fix?

 

No problem with Ctrl+D for me whether in the hierarchy window or the project window; I use it every day in the latests Unity 2018.2 versions, Windows 7 SP1 up to date.

 

So, I'm using Windows 10 x64, and Unity 2018.2 as well. It's really annoying to have to close out of the editor entirely and reload everything just to be able to copy and paste...

 

It doesn't work for me either. It used to work though.

 

Duplicate hotkey does not work in a brand new URP template project in 2020.1.3f1. Upgraded from 2f1 hoping it would be fixed. Also, tangentially related, Frame Selected hotkey has worked only once in a blue moon for me for as long as I've used Unity. Default shortcut profile is in use btw.
