So me and 2 friends want to look into doing games on unity and im doing some tutorials right now and one of your larger concern is how do u go about gathering "supplies" like animations, characters, lightings, environments , Knowing what code to write when and how ? stuff like that any ideas, tips ? I know theres a asset store but can anyone use that stuff and ca nou use it in a commercial product sense you didn't make it ? How would you go about making things like that ?

asset store stuff is there to be used commercially.

As for the rest, there are plenty of free resources around if you look for them.

With code, its easiest to follow a bunch of tutorials (depending on your level, you may need more/less), then get in there and start getting your hands dirty.

The stuff you mentioned is generally on the easy end of the scale. Looking at the Unity tutorials will be helpful, Unity also provide a handful of scripts as standard assets (you can import them when creating a new project - or later from one of the menus - forget which). There are big script frameworks available if needed (on asset store). Cant give you too much advice there as being an experienced programmer, I write most of my own code.

If you get stuck, the scripting section is there to post questions about your code (just read the sticky threads at the top before you post)
