I have a Volume (Texture3D) from which I would like extract a slice (Texture2D) in realtime by feeding it positions, layer-id or something like that. I have some experience with shader now-days and think I need a computer shader for this but I'am not sure. Does anybody have any tips?

This weekend after some experiments I got it working. I used a standard UI shader, no computer shader.
