    Hello.

Is it possible to edit multiple tangents simultaneously from the curves editor? I have an an animation where I change a gameobject scale and I would like to manually modify the curve form in the three axis. Though I can select the three keyframes all together when click on the tangent it seems that only one keyframe is selected giving this result

So.... how can I edit them and once? or... is it even possible ?

    Regards

This drives me crazy! As far as I can tell you have to just adjust them each and then eyeball it?

Yeah I'm having the same problem now too with animating all three scale (xyz) properties! Only way I've figured out how to get it exact is by only modifying one of the curves (say the x) as you want the tangents to be, and then copying these modified keys over to the other curves to overwrite the old keyframes' tangents. Only works if you want them to be exactly the same though. Lol :/

Bump. Just like we can select multiple points and move them together , we should be able to select multiple points and modify the tangents as well.

+1, really frustrating not being able to grab the x,y,z anchors and edit them in unison, I thought this had been added?!

googled this again today out of frustration, and ended up at the same thread I posted in a few years ago, haha. This is really frustrating for folks who author a lot of animations in the editor.

I just want to add to this beauty of a thread that yes, I, too, was surprised that this isn't possible (and I read the manuals). Ungh?!

I'd be really happy to use such a feature.
I have several animation curves in scriptable objects and it would be nice to edit interrelated curves together.

I'm back a few years later to bump this thread again.

We need stuff like this in the editor.
After all.. what's an editor if it's inconvenient?

@willgoldstone I hate to tag Unity staff directly but are you able to comment on this? Users have been waiting for years. This is a very major useability problem within the curve editor (used in many parts of the editor!) which should be rather quick and easy to implement. Perhaps the new quality of life team could take a look? Thanks!

Yep, still waiting on this feature.

Is there even a third party plugin or something that can help with this?

It seems like editor UX is not being taken very seriously. At this point, our best bet might be to manually patch the editor with something like Harmony. There is a community project here already using Harmony to make the inspector proper, as it should've always been. Surely it must be possible for the curve editor.

It saddens me that we have to waste our own free time to do this. If the situation has not improved in 2-3 years, me and my team will surely investigate a jump to Unreal Engine after our current project, and we will not be talking very positively of Unity.

You know, I start writing a script that evaluates an AnimationCurve with a timer in Update, setting the lossyScale, but then I think: Man I should be using an Animation! If I want 3 similar animations I need 3 files stored somewhere. If I use my script it's just one script + the parameters for each object, serialized in the inspector component.
And then Unity is only dragging one Tangent Arm no matter what I select. Going back to using my script...

    So uh - Bump!

Wow a lot of those I'd really love to see in the Editor. I've long wanted to drag a component without aiming specifically for like, a suuuuper small area to drag. The instant tooltip looks really nice too, like all of those things seems like they really should just be a part of Unity. :)

this is ridiculous... For almost 4 year, no unity staff tried to give attention to this problem.

Bumping as I think this is a must-have bare bones fundamental basic feature when working on animations. Eyeballing multiple tangents isn't really "workflow".

I just wanted to jump in here and acknowledge that we've seen this thread, and we have this on the roadmap. I'm not on the animation team so I don't have a lot of details to provide, but I wanted to find out where this was and make sure people got the response they needed. And while there isn't a set date for this update, I think it is important to at least let you all know we are aware of the frustrations this causes and have this on our minds.

Selecting multiple keys or hierarchy will save days changing tangent types,

please add more spline documentation.

Just wanted to bump this... Animation editor is a joke without something as simple as multiple tangent editing.
It's crazy we asked for this simple (and obvious) feature SEVEN years ago, and it's (still) not there. I mean... we only want to edit the tangent of Scale x-y-z at the same time!!!
