    You know, basic CMD/CTRL + F?

Is there any way to do it in this forum? [/frustrated]

There is also Google custom search that search from documentation, forum, answers, reddit (unity) and perhaps something else. Dunno if its made by Unity.. i believe i found it from answers couple years ago:

    https://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=001712401338047450041:csfhqk-trfa

I also have it in (Chrome) address bar search engine with keyword "u", so i can type: "u rigidbody" and get all the results for rigidbody and only from unity related sites.

Which criteria? I've tried same as in google, and still no good: "official-the-collected-il2cpp-forum-topic.247039 boo"

Yeah, this exists from a long time I even forgot about it! Still not ideal, but at least it does bring a few proper hits when I search either for the same or for "247039 boo".

As in, searching the keyword in a specific forum, posted between a certain time range, that kind of thing.

So, apparently Unity's implementation of XenForo is hiding the options pane from us in their simplified search box. Is it possible to access these features in an Advanced Search, maybe?

Nope. Advanced search isn't this complete. It was first thing I've tried and just did it again now. Simply not. That doesn't mean you can't prove me wrong, though! ;)

I was actually suggesting to Unity that they might consider implementing such an Advanced Search. :)

Please do. I will save so much time and help asset developers so they don't have to answer the same question over and over.

+1 for this. Shouldn't be that hard to enable it, as it's already there

As far as I can see on their forums, this feature exists in Xenforo but because of the way our search is laid out we have some things disabled. I'll look into getting it added.

I created a simple Chrome Extension for searching within Unity forum threads.

    upload_2015-11-20_0-42-40.png

When you're in a Unity forum thread a familiar icon appears in the address bar.

    upload_2015-11-20_0-45-35.png

Click on the icon to popup a search field, type your query and press enter to open a new tab with the search results.

I can't release it in this form though. Aside from the use of the Unity name and logo without explicit permission, according to the Unity design manual I'm not allowed to break apart the logo. I tried but the icon formats are too small and too square to fit the official logo in an aesthetically pleasing way. So maybe I'll just post the source code later so you can create your own extension.
