    Hi,

I use Remote Config to serve two different configurations to A/B test various game parameters. Now I switched to the New Analytics and would like to compare retention of theses two groups.

I'd assume that I'd be able to create two custom Audiences (Variant A and Variant B) based on the rcVariantID parameter of the userAssignment event.

However, the Create Audience dialog doesn't allow this.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot,
    Stepan

    Hey Stepan!

Unfortunately, that information isn't yet surfaced in Audiences but this is an area we're going to be improving in the coming weeks.

Are you looking to show overall retention for the 2 groups? Is there a particular day you're interested in (day 1/3/7/14/31)?

If you'd be open to talking to us in a bit more detail I'd love to learn more about your use case and how we can help improve our reporting. If you'd be interested, you can book some time with me using this handy Calendly link to discuss. If you can't find a slot but are still interested - let me know and we can arrange something else.

    Cheers,

    Mike

    Hey Mike,

I'm looking for 1/3/7 retentions but also want to use the A/B variant segmentation for other purposes, such as funnels. So for now I'll use a hack, I'll just fire variantA / variantB event directly, which will allow me to create an audience.

Anyway, there is more feedback that I'd like to share with you so I've booked a call.

    Thanks a lot,
    Stepan

Okay great - looking forward to speaking with you to learn more about your use cases!

If it would be helpful, I can work with our team to put together a few reports/queries in SQL Data Mining to show some information about your test - just let me know.
