Hi everyone. I'm a begginer and am working on a little project where a character is supposed to play guitar. I have the character modeled in Poser Pro Game Dev, but it is not animated yet. Besides I've modeled the guitar in Blender. But now I don't know make this animation properly, I mean I'm not sure about the right concept, where to make what and how, so to speak. Is it ok to make the animation of character movement in Poser and Guitar movement in Blender separately and then join both of them in Unity? The problem I see with this approach is, that movement synchronization can be difficult to accieve. What if I join them both in Poser somehow and try to make entire animation there? How would you do it? Much thanks for hellp.

Never join two objects and import them in Unity. Always keep them separate , trust me I have done this stupid mistake of joining and importing , in this way , it's really hard to get the two objects separated.
What I suggest is to make the animation of your character with the guitar in your animation program keeping both objects separate. Note the exact position of guitar and your character. Import both models in Unity , set the position of guitar where it was and play!
If your system is too complex that even finger movements are accordingly with the guitar then it can be hard. You should then make the animation with both the models joined and import them into unity. Then use this model as a different gameobject when you wanna play the animation :) Hope this helps.

Thanks for suggestion. I'll try to import my guitar from Blender to Poser and animate both objects synchronously while keeping them separated. Will see how it goes, thanks for now.
