How to block spam users?

There's never anything real going on in Unity Connect, at least as far as I've experienced since I joined.

But this week, Unity Connect is on fire!

I've received 3 solicitations from https://connect.unity.com/u/michael-0-9 in the last few days sending me a connection request and messages with an affiliate link to an asset:

How do I block random people from spamming me with solicitation messages in the first place?

I finally found a button to report spam... I don't use social media much, maybe this is unavoidable on a social platform unless you have a private account, but then what's the point?

Do I need to just unsubscribe or stop using Connect to avoid spam like this?

I only created a Connect account because I though it might be cool, but it's all spam from my pov.

 

I also can't find a way to remove the spam message. I guess I just have to look at it anytime I go to the messages page?



I really though Unity Connect was going to be a little more useful than this..

 

At least it was Good news (from Misha's perspective that is), we should put this on Unity's front page.. so everyone else not in Unity Connect can see the good news too!

 

I also received the same message from Misha. Would be great if this was managed more appropriately.

I'll just close my account to avoid further hassles.

 

Does anyone from Unity know how to resolve this?

Does anyone from Unity care that there are users spamming us and we have no way to block it or even delete the messages?

Does the Unity Connect team prefer that I just delete my account?

I'm still getting spam and there's no way to block it.. and it's forwarded to my email. I don't see a reason I should continue to see message like this in my emails.

@markp-unity you're are the only one pinning Unity Connect forum threads, perhaps you're in the know.. do you know how to resolve this?

Or should I just delete my account to stop the spam?
