How to add characters that I can edit

So I managed to download Unity and am playing through the screen ... is there a section where I can add units, characters . I need a medieval backdrop similar to Baldurs Gate 2 where I can add and edit characters , like adding knights , princesses , quests and edit them. (i.e. change the color, add sounds, add words etc) ?
