Question How this tilemap have made?

How this tilemap style (Is it tilemap?) can be achived in Unity?

The game called Super animal royale (Made with Unity), seems like it has 3 layers a ground, water transparency and the water itself (or just transparency for the tiles?).
My artist is not familiar with Unity and I'm not really good at 2D art theory.
Me myself with years of experience haven't got any idea how to achieve that.

This is our current corners of the island, its cubic rather than the very rounded style of game above.

P.s the actual water (Not the transparency layer) are not walkable in both games

 

the water line you show is not with tilemaps, as you see correctly the curve is too smooth

check this other image, now this one is from the same game and its more like tilemap:

like you see the water pool has kindof squared

to make the water like you want you must draw it normally in photoshop, and cant place it on tilemap

 

i give you option B if you make 3 tiles like this you can make that water line more or less


if you make more than 3 tiles you can make even smoother line

As I understood, in order to implement such water design. Design is made with Photoshop and just added as regular sprite image?.

 

One giant sprite is one way it could be done although it's not always practical.

You could also use sprite shapes https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.2d.spriteshape@10.0/manual/index.html https://blog.unity.com/technology/intro-to-2d-world-building-with-sprite-shape Many of examples show it for curved platforms, but it can also be used for making polygons filled with some texture.
