How read and write data in excel.

Hello Everyone.
I want to read and write data in excel file. i do not want to convert .csv file. Is there any other option that i can directly read excel file and update it.

Either find a package that implements the xls file format, or add it yourself. If you were to do the later, I'd probably start here.
