    Hello guys,

I'm currently beginning a prototype phase of a big project and decided to use for the first time ReWired to handle inputs. So far ReWired looks nice but the new Input System looks nice too even if it's not quite finished and I like the idea to use built-in feature. How mature is the new Input System and when could it be called "production ready" ? In terms of functionality/paradigm how does it differs from ReWired ?

    Thanks

Since it's still in preview at the time of writing, I wouldn't do more than testing it. I wouldn't build a new game around technology that's in preview, likely to change and not considered robust.

For more details, see "Current Status" on this page:

Looks like around 2019.2, according to the release timeline:

Unity 2018.2 was released around July. If they stick to this plan, which I assume they do, 2019.2 would be released around July as well.
