How does The queue work with asset submissions?

I started in queue around 1650 but now i'm at 1657. Am I supposed to go up the queue?

 

You will get better answers if you post in the publishers section, but no the queue goes down. The numbers will jump sometimes (there are many reasons for that) current wait is extended, all this is discussed in the publishers section.
