How does inertia tensor affect resulting angular velocity from applied torque?

Hello, I am trying to determine how Unity uses the supplied inertia tensor to calculate how a rigid body reacts to external forces. For example a plane might roll more easily than it will yaw due to the distribution of mass.

I am more specifically trying to determine what will happen if I apply a force at a position. I can calculate the torque on the rigid body due to the offset of the centre of mass to the applied force position, but how do I use the inertia tensor to determine resulting angular momentum?

    Thank you.

    Bump..

Can a dev show the maths used to make the tensor alter the angular momentum?
Iv'e asked elsewhere and tried figuring it out myself and nothing so far..

    Is it a secret?
