YouTube uses the EAC format to encode 360 videos, which I much prefer to equirectangular. Since Unity supports cubemap 360 videos I would love to use that format, but unfortunately the layout doesn't match.

EAC videos are in a 3x2 layout, while Unity expects a cube projection layout. Is there any way to manually map which sector of the video is mapped to which part of the skybox? I noticed that there is a shader for 6 seperate inputs for each side, but that would require me to somehow break up the video into 6 videos.

Or does anybody know a program that could transform an EAC layout to cube projection? I couldn't find anything like that for videos.
