So how do you cover up the ends of your terrains? I've seen some covered with fog, some with mountains. so how do you do it? I'm trying to get some ideas for my terrain and i'm curious lol.

That question has far too many answers. Fog and mountains are great, but it really depends on your game. You can also use trees and rocks, you can disallow your player from getting close enough to see the edge, you can surround your terrain with water to cover up the edges, etc.

For my current project I try not to give the player the capability to reach the borders. When he can, I put some trees to hide the seam. At first I only had a basic skybox with blue sky and a cloud. Now moutains grow from the horizon, and they fit quite well with my terrain object : my friend could not see the seam anymore and visual quality took a big 120%+ from this easy little trick ^^
