Whenever I click on the colour values it doesn't do anything?
Hi and welcome @WASD098,
Can you be a bit more specific with your description? When you say "...I click on the colour values..." do you mean the Color node, or what exactly? You should be able to click the Color node's color box (that rectangle where you see a color) to open a color picker.
Not OP, But I too have this issue. I recently did a fresh install of unity on a new system. Imported my project, and everything has been fine. However in the shader graph when trying to click on a color to change it via the color picker nothing happens. This is true on custom properties, as well as default ones such as even the PBR master node.
Any help would be appreciated if this is user error, if not I will do a bug report and downgrade versions.
@VicariousVoxels Have you opened a bug for this yet? I am experiencing the same issue. I'm on Unity 2019.4.13f1 and things were working fine up until a few minutes ago. Suddenly I can't change colors in shader graph.
However, I can change colors in the rest of Unity. So if anyone else runs into this and can change colors in the rest of Unity, you can pick a color, copy it, and paste it in to shader graph.
I have the same problem too.
I solve it by hold [ctrl] + click at the color.
Hold [shift] + click works too!
I dont know if this bug or what.
It is odd. Thanks for the tip. I can confirm the shift+click solution is working in 2021.1.0a4, URP 10.1, Windows 10.
Interesting! Shift/Alt/Ctrl+click all work for me as well, on 2019.4.13f1. Thank you @WanAmir!
thank you so much for this help ....
Thank you. That was very helpful.
For me it was [ctrl] + click
[shift] + click did not seem to work for me.
whereas the color picker shows up elsewhere in Unity.
I noticed this is fixed in 2021.1.0a7 (if not earlier) - can now just click a color next to an output, in node settings or on a Color node and the selection dialog opens as expected. Tested in Shader Graph 10.2.0, then again after update to 10.2.1.
I face the same problem
Shift+Left Click works Fine
thanks again! this was a fix for v19.4.15f1
But in v19.4.14f1
Problem the same.
I can't imagine how can this type of bug issued on current stage of package LWRP 7.3.1 & Shader Graph 7.3.1)
Is the Shift/Alt/Ctrl+click solution working? It's not clear if you're saying this fix isn't working or simply clicking it as intended isn't working for you - it's been reported above that v19.4.15f1 fixes this, which is one patch above yours.
Problem WAS the same. May be I was not clear - in v19.4.14f1 also demanding to use the Shift/Alt/Ctrl+click to change color.
I spend many times to find solution for this stupid problem.
Thank you! For me holding down ctrl + cmd worked. I use Unity 2019.4.13f1.
