    Hello
So I created a hdrp project in unity and I don't like the default post processing. Is there a way to remove it?

Hey, go to Window > Rendering > Light Explorer > Volumes.

Inspect the volumes, and set the intensities of the postprocessing you don't like to 0 or to untick the corresponding "Enable" checkboxes, depending on the effect you want to disable.

In addition, there's a default post processing stack in the HDRP Default Frame Settings. (With default SSAO, Bloom.. etc)
You can access it in Edit > Project Settings > HDRP Default Settings

Here you can modify it and/or feed it a new default volume with your own "artistic direction post processing" and those will be applied by default without adding any volume in your scenes.

Everything is greyed out, my default volume profile is not editable:

Edit: Ahh, because it's in a package. You have to make a copy of it, assign it, then edit. The SRP->HDRP upgrade process adds a sky component by default which was blowing out all our lighting. Took hours to find the issue...

    Thank for posting this solution.
The default HDRP post profile settings kind of suck.
    So this helps a lot.
