Can anyone give me some advice as to how to play a 360 video in unity 5 for Android. I use the cardboards SDK. A company called Visualise have done it on IOS download there app to have a look if you don't know what I mean. From what I understand so far it is something to do with applying the video as a texture on a sphere but I have also heard that it isn't possible to do it on a mobile device in unity. Any knowledge anybody has I would be grateful if you could share it with me.

The idea is to apply a movie texture to a sphere and to place the camera inside that sphere. However when you import your video into Unity, it will convert it to Ogg Theora which unfortunately is CPU intensive to the point where there's simply no hope a Mobile platform will run the video smoothly at any suitable resolution.

The solution is to buy a third party plug-in that is optimised for HD Video. Which in turn avoids the entire need for Ogg Theora. You can find assets on the Unity store that do this.

This one seems to be popular for Mobile.

    And this one for Windows.

That's a very different type of product. VRPanorama doesn’t play moves, it generates them frame by frame from your project. You will need something else to play anything it generates.
