    I recently installed VS2017. Now, I have two versions of visual studio on my machine. My unity project was originally created with visual studio 2015.

    Is there something special I need to do to force unity to open the project in visual studio 2017?

    I figured it out. Unity doesn't automatically detect my visual studio 2017 install. It also doesn't open the vs solution with the editor it was created with.

    I had to attach the editor manually in the preferences \ external tools menu and browse to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"

    jenful and electroid like this.

    Edit-Preferences-External Tools->External Script Editor

    Browse to the location of VS2017's .exe file.

    EDIT: I WAS TOO SLOW!

    How do you get VS to open the project assembly? The whole solution with all the source files listed?
