How do I edit my palette?

    I dragged some tiles on there. Now I want to delete them.

    You have to click the little lock icon at the top of the window, here:



    And make sure you have the eraser selected from the tools at the bottom of that window.

    Don't forget to lock the palette after editing ;)

    With the new version it is in fact an EDIT button. highlighting it will let you erase items with the eraser then un highlight it to go back to normal operations.

    you can also delete the actual tile files.(those that get created when you import a picture to a palette.)
    the ending is '*.asset' AFAIK

    actually, deleting those files will just glitch out the tile editor

    If its pruple dots you mean, you can select them and set tile to none, they purple their tile is sprite and your sprite is deleted, figured out today :D

    you are in a newer version of unity so click on the "edit" button instead

    I dont even have an edit button, what should I do?

    There is no "Edit" Button in Version 2022.3.5. You need to toggle the Pencil Button. When toggled you can edit yout TilePalette and change your values. After you changed everything toggle the "Edit"(Pencilbutton) again und your are good to go.

    Please use the 2D forum as this feature hasn't been experimental for many, mamy years.

    Simple create your own posts for your own questions rather than necroing this old thread.
