How do I buy stuff on the asset store?

The fact that I need to ask this question seems a bit ridiculous to me, but how do I buy things on the asset store? When I click the Buy button, nothing happens. So I clicked on my account to see my profile and noticed an asset store credit section. It only asked me to enter a code. Do I have to buy a code like MS points and enter that to get money in my account to buy from the asset store? If so, I wasn't able to find anywhere to buy a code either.

 

No you just pay as you buy, no points or anything like that
1) You need to buy from the asset store inside unity (not the website, the website is just a facade to display the same stuff)
2) You should be logged in the asset store (top right section of the asset store window) if you're not logged on you won't be able to purchase
3) When you click buy it should change to "please wait", it can take up to a solid 10 seconds to popup the basket window. If after say 20 seconds nothing happens, fill a bug report

The asset store can be a bit temperamental...

The fix today for me was to close Unity and go to the asset in the web asset store and click 'Open In Unity'. This seemed to give it the kick it needed (i.e. the buy button started working again).

Also, at the top of the asset store window, you have the download screen (the arrow pointing down into an 'in
tray), and next to that - the padlock looking thing - is a shopping, ummmm, basket. What I was seeing, when I clicked buy, was that button getting depressed, but the buy window not appearing. The assumption was that it was just hiding behind the other windows... Hence the need for a kick.

 

Thanks. This worked for me. I had already been in Unity and opened the asset store when the buy button wasn't working. But finding the asset on the website and clicking open in Unity got the button working.
