Question How can I make my "holographic" GUI more readable?

    I'm making a futuristic GUI for my 3D pixel art game, and I've decided to use a "holographic" texture for one of the main HUD elements. This HUD element displays the player's health, level, experience, and (eventually) a button to open the upgrades menu. Here's what that looks like in my test scene


    Under certain conditions, the text is barely readable. How can I improve the readability of light-coloured text on this kind of panel?

    outline the text or decrease the transparency, so many games have a billion huds covering everything these days no one will bat an eye at something so trivial
