Is there any package that can do this? I've been searching for days and found nothing.

Can I export a game object as a glb file with this? And then import it later for other purposes? The documentation doesn't help.

Should be able to, I haven't exported anything with it yet but for importing you simply drag your files in and it should do it's thing. For exporting I'd imagine you export normally and set it's file type.

Another option is glTFast which includes import & experimental export support.
    https://github.com/atteneder/glTFast

It's not officially supported by Unity, but Andreas - the creator - works over @ Unity these days.
