how can i change texture the max size import unity at start?

    why i import the texture the max size it's aways 1024!?how change at the import??
    how can i change the max size in the textures import unity at start?
    i use the script :textureImporter.maxTextureSize =2048
    but it's no use at the start!

    ever figure this out? maxTextureSize doesnt seem to do anything
