How as indie solo developer you test your game on so many mobile types ?

    Hello all
    I try to answer some basic questions about mobile / unity development .
    How do you from your experience test your game on so many phone types/sizes /android OS versions and
    iphone iOS versions?
    is simulators are enough ?

    On iOS, there aren't so many different types. It's reasonable to test on just a few of these, and know it'll work on all of them (within your required specs).

    On Android, it's a lot harder. My solution is usually to not bother. ;) But if you really want to do it, then I guess just buy as many different Android devices as you can and hope for the best.

    Tnx , I'm not going to buy as many
    I have like 3 standard Android's and 2 iPhones 6 and 8
    I wander what Indies are doing ..
    It's looks to me like really problem

    Same as you. Owning multiple devices and testing on them.

    If you're really worried about it though there are companies with mobile device farms intended for app testing.

    Get a few representative phones, and try to find a few at the extremes. Both hardware and OS versions. If you can't buy them try to borrow them or consider getting people to run a bit of beta testing on their own phones. There's also QA outsourcing companies which have a collection of phones for this type of testing, but it may be more cost than you are looking for.
